How your data is handled

About this page

This is a plain-language summary of how AI Interview Coach handles your information. It is not a legal document.

Signing in

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google. We keep your email address so we know who you are and whether you have access.

Your AI key

You bring your own key from an AI provider (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), NVIDIA). We save it encrypted in your account and show only its last four characters. Our server uses it to ask the provider for your questions and feedback.

You can also add an optional backup key. If your main key hits a limit, runs out of credit, is rejected or is too slow, the app switches to the backup key by itself, even if it is from a different provider. The backup key is stored the same way. You can replace or delete either key at any time on the key screen.

What goes to your AI provider

When you practise, the job title, the job description and your answers are sent to the provider you chose, using your key, so it can write questions and feedback. The provider handles that text under its own terms and your account with them.

AI Interview Coach does not store the job description or your answers.

Your results

After each session your questions, answers and feedback are shown on your screen. AI Interview Coach does not save your questions, answers or results on its servers.

If you want to keep them, use Download on the results screen before you leave or start a new session. The file is made on your device and is not sent anywhere.

On your device

Your light or dark choice is saved in your browser, along with a short list of recent questions for each job title so the app does not ask you the same ones again. Clearing your browser data removes both. Older versions of the app kept a copy of your AI key in the browser; it is removed when you open the app.

Counting visits

On the public pages (the home page and this one) we use the Meta pixel to count visits and to measure our own adverts. Meta may set cookies and handles that data under its own terms. You can block it with your browser's privacy settings or an ad blocker.

The pixel is not loaded on the sign-in page or anywhere after you sign in, and its automatic collection of clicks and page details is switched off. Your job descriptions, answers, keys and results are never sent to Meta.

Who can access stored data

The service owner and the hosting and database providers can technically access stored data. The app has no screen for reading members’ keys.
